@panic Is there a workaround for problems opening dot files in Coda?
@panic Is there a workaround for problems opening dot files in Coda?
@funkatron Except of course, if you have to use PHP on Windows...command line on Windows is pain.
@codepo8 Just how is Maxthon winning anything? Isn't it a wrapper around webkit/trident?
@codinghorror So the primary goal of a programmer is to not do their primary job?
@KimMaida Have you looked at Chocolat as a Mac editor? chocolatapp.com
@ElizabethN Don't worry, it's safe. And hillarious.
@philsturgeon Which is good. Except I despise PSR-0, and the requirement for camel case methods.
@philsturgeon I don't see how this could ever be a standard - Coding standards are too personal.
RT @adactio: Next time someone asks why I'm reinventing the wheel, I'm telling them it's because the wheel API is being deprecated. developers.google.com/chart/terms
@philsturgeon Bonus points if it was a native php function.
Seems about right... plus.google.com/10506217150319… plus.google.com/photos/1142288…
@philsturgeon Isn't that Apache in disguise?
RT @codinghorror: time for a little code refactoring! i.imgur.com/wGUTG.gif
@grmpyprogrammer Generally I'd agree they are bad, but there are a few valid use cases.
@grmpyprogrammer I don't think so, because it's clear where it is coming from. I'd say use of the extract() construct is generally worse.
@philsturgeon It's not an ORM, but a re-implementation of CI's db class: github.com/aviat4ion/Query
@meyerweb Yeah, you're doing something weird.
@meyerweb There's a better way to do it? :P
@rem Last I knew, it was free for a subdomain they provide.
@philsturgeon Yeah...I think the old icons were better.

@preinheimer You lose the definitive does it work, does it not. That's what php.ini settings are for.
@preinheimer Reimplementations are more common, like Quercus written in Java.
RT @grmpyprogrammer: One of these days I will learn to do all the difficult stuff at the beginning of a week and the easy stuff at the end
@LeaVerou Using an image that takes everything out of context to support your point...real mature.
@grmpyprogrammer Maybe you should do a writeup on why you consider PHPUnit to be best -- personally I like the simplicity of SimpleTest.
@phishy PHPUnit drives me crazy
@meyerweb That's sad...considering it's the most up to date browser for PPC
@chocolatapp In the symbol list, is there a way to hid variables? Or at least local variables?
@mathias I'm disappointed that it doesn't work in Firefox. Seems like a simple javascript error is to blame.
@getify Right, but that's a forced upgrade.
@getify You must be forgetting the digital changeover.
@paulrouget Generally I agree. Usually Opera is the victim in these situations.
@paulrouget Can't say I don't agree with them. IE6-IE9 are far behind comparable browsers.
@meyerweb Yes, Camino. Coda does as well, I was surprised.
@meyerweb Apparently still does work for PPC...got an old laptop to play around with, and it works.
@KimMaida Well, it is use of a crappy font...
@amuhlou I do it at the office...It's only messy if you spill some (which you don't want to do, obviously)
RT @ekampf: OSX is for building websites, Linux is for running them, Windows is for testing IE
@JoshDComp I just want to be able to sort folders by file type in Coda...
@amuhlou Green tea gets pretty bitter if you oversteep it. - Although I'm crazy enough to use loose-leaf tea.
kevinjohngallagher.com/articles/opera… Webkit only is a scourge.
@amuhlou What kind of tea?
@paulrouget Looks like it's starting to equal Firebird for DOM inspection.
@meyerweb Hey, does Camino still work on PPC?
@funkatron At LEAST he has a disclaimer of sorts at the end. But I agree on the hidden errors.
@philsturgeon Isn't it fun?
@meyerweb Ugghh...I'd rather read than listen
@meyerweb That's what I thought at first too, but it's the red and orange Os in the Google logo.
RT @RaviVora: Factorials make me excited.
@codepo8 Google+ buttons, last I knew.

@meyerweb Have you tried backing up your bookmarks, and deleting your profile?
@meyerweb Maybe do the quick upgrade to 12?
@philsturgeon Yes, it's what I used to find where there weren't docblocks in the CodeIgniter core classes.
@philsturgeon Perhaps a better alternative would be some type of code updater? But I can see that being problematic as well.
@philsturgeon As dumb as it is, that kind of break will be difficult for keeping existing installs updated.
@philsturgeon Fair enough...but I think a config option for the 'depricated' functionality would be a good idea.
@philsturgeon Well, the problem I personally have with that is that will break almost everything, and limit upgrading old installations.
